Paying Too Much for Cable – The TouchArcade Show #551

In this week’s episode of The TouchArcade Show we talk about the new Playdate on-device app store called Catalog, and that leads to a discussion on game pricing in general and the current state of devalued software. We then dip into some talk about cord-cutting, which I recently helped my parents do, and how the state of streaming services is starting to feel like it’s just turning right back into the cable services we were all so anxious to get rid of. We then talk about the Steam Deck’s first anniversary, WaterField’s lovely new gaming cases, the 3DS eShop closure, and the current buzz around smartphone photography and the tricks that it pulls.
