At today’s Pokémon Day 2023, The Pokémon Company had many announcements including DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, a Netflix Series: Pokémon Concierge, and multiple updates for the brand’s mobile games. Originally revealed back in May 2019, Pokémon Sleep has resurfaced and will be out this summer for iOS and Android. Pokémon Sleep will have the player’s time spent sleeping and awake affect the gameplay. Pokémon Sleep will feature Professor Neroli who studies Pokémon sleep cycles and Snorlax to carry out research. The Pokémon GO Plus+ device was also showcased in the livestream. This device can connect to Pokémon GO and Pokémon Sleep using Bluetooth Low Energy. It enables players to throw PokeBalls automatically in Pokémon GO. Pokémon Sleep players will be able to use the device to track sleep alongside smartphones. Pokémon GO Plus+ launches on July 21st. As of this writing, a Pokémon Sleep release date has not been announced, but it will launch this summer. Pre-orders and pre-registrations are not live. In addition to these two reveals, Pokémon GO will be able to connect with Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet letting players interact with Vivillon and Roaming Form Gimmighoul. The Legendary Pokémon Zacian will join Pokémon UNITE. Pokémon Café ReMix and Pokémon Masters EX also celebrate the day with special events and rewards.
