Back in September of last year, during a Ubisoft Forward digital showcase event, Ubisoft announced that they’d partnered up with Netflix for three exclusive mobile releases. These would be a new Assassin’s Creed game, a new Mighty Quest for Epic Loot game, and a sequel to cult-classic Valiant Hearts: The Great War. We still don’t know anything about those first two, but the Valiant Hearts sequel was unveiled with the title Valiant Hearts: Coming Home and it was shown off for the first time with a new trailer just last month that detailed where it takes place in relation to the original game. Here’s that trailer again in case you missed it.
All signs pointed to Valiant Hearts: Coming Home being pretty close to the finish line, and today Netflix has confirmed that the game is just around the corner and will be launching on January 31st as part of their Netflix Games library. As you may already be aware, the original Valiant Hearts: The Great War was released on mobile way back in 2014, and it fit the mobile platform quite well. We loved it in our review from nearly a decade ago, so it’s exciting to see the long-awaited sequel also arriving on the mobile platform, even if it does drive console and PC players bananas. In addition to Valiant Hearts: Coming Home releasing at the end of the month, Netflix also debuted Narcos: Cartel Wars Unlimited on their service today, so feel free to check that out if that interests you.
