As Japan heads into Golden Week, a lot Japanese games have started getting discounts across all platforms. While most platform holders have full banners and promotions to highlight these discounts, the App Store likely will not bother showcasing interesting deals for the week. Over the last day or so, a few notable Japanese games have gotten discounted on iOS alongside some other interesting discounts hitting the App Store. Koei Tecmo’s new Monster Rancher games have gotten their first discounts as well. Gemdrops Laid-Back Camp games are discounted as well. On the Square Enix side of things, the Final Fantasy, SaGa, and a few more games are discounted right now including the recent ones. The final notable discount right now is Civilization VI with its full game unlock and all expansions at 50% for a limited time.

The Monster Rancher games are discounted for the first time right now on iOS so it is worth grabbing them if you’ve been waiting. Read my review here. Civilization VI has still not been updated for better visuals on newer iPads and there is no discounted bundle like on consoles for the expansions so keep that in mind. Monster Hunter Stories is excellent, but it is also in Apple Arcade and Google Play Pass if you use either subscription. If there are more notable deals on the App Store over the next days, I’ll update this. If you spot a deal you think we should highlight, let us know in the comments below.
Update(2): Added even more Square Enix game discounts including Trials of Mana, Final Fantasy VII, and The Last Remnant Remastered.
