New ‘Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus’ Video Shows Off the Necrons Faction

Back in September Snowprint Studios, who you may know from their previous Legend of Solgard or Rivengard, announced that they’d partnered up with Games Workshop to put out a new tactical game in the Warhammer 40,000 universe titled Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus. That’s some pretty on-the-nose naming if you ask me. The game would feature an original story from acclaimed Warhammer writer Matt Forbeck and would focus on “intense fast-paced skirmishes in PVE campaigns and tightly competitive PVP battles, as well as massively collaborative guild boss fights." Since that initial announcement last fall Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus has gone into soft launch on Android in the Philippines and Malaysia, and today Snowprint has released a new trailer detailing one of the factions you’ll see in the game, the Necrons.

From what I’ve seen so far, Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus seems to be shaping up to be a very deep turn-based tactical strategy game. I imagine that Snowprint will start teasing out more information on some of the other factions in the game, like the Ultramarines, Adepta Sororitas, Black Legion, and more, as the game continues its development. If you’re an Android user in Malaysia or the Philippines you should be able to check out the soft launch version on the Google Play Store here. For more information you can check out the game’s website where you’ll find links to all the game’s social media platforms, including a Discord server where the devs hang out. Look for Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus to launch globally on iOS and Android later this year.
