While we usually see a lot of big updates for Apple Arcade games in the second half of the week, two of the best games on the service have gotten major updates today. The first is Bleak Sword () from Devolver Digital and more8bit featuring music by Jim Guthrie. After it got its first major content drop a few months ago, it has now hit version 3.0. Bleak Sword 3.0 adds a new chapter with 10 dioramas, two new regular enemies, a new boss fight, three cut-scenes, and new music from Jim Guthrie. Even if you aren’t a fan of the aesthetic, Bleak Sword is worth playing to see how it controls on touch. I love it and can’t wait to play more of it today. If you like the music of Bleak Sword, a campaign for the soundtrack on vinyl is currently on. Watch the Bleak Sword trailer below:

The second major update today is Local No. 12’s Dear Reader. Dear Reader hit version 2.0 about half a year ago and it has gotten its first major update since in 2.2.0. This update ads a new and notable section for newly added books, four new books including 1001 Nights, accessibility improvements, balance changes to when wordplay puzzles are unlocked, and a lot more.
