A few weeks ago, Beamdog announced a tablet version of Axis & Allies 1942 Online ($9.99). Axis & Allies 1942 Online is the official digital version of Hasbro’s strategy classic tabletop game Axis & Allies 1942 Second Edition and it debuted on Steam Early Access a little while ago. Beamdog has now brought it to iPad with full cross platofmr support as a premium release. As mentioned before, an Android tablet release is planned for later in the year as well. Alongside today’s iPad launch, Axis & Allies 1942 Online has been updated on Steam with Season 6 of competitive play, 7 new languages, new features, and a lot of fixes. Axis & Allies 1942 Online is a turn based strategy game where you play as World War II powers. The iPad version includes all major features and game modes from the Steam version with a new touchscreen interface. With today’s update, the Steam version of Axis & Allies 1942 Online now lets you review completed games, adjust units involved in a transport unit, use updated unit icons, and more. If you’ve not gotten it yet on PC, Axis & Allies 1942 Online is available on Steam Early Access right now for $19.99 and it is now available on the App Store for iPadOS here for $9.99. It is a 1GB download going by the App Store listing. The Android version (for tablets) is set for later this year and it will be priced at $9.99 as well and include all the cross platform support. Beamdog releases are almost always excellent on iPad so it is going to be interesting to see how Axis & Allies 1942 Online evolves over time and when the Android version joins the fray later in the year.
