‘Atelier Online: Alchemist of Bressisle’ Now Available on iOS and Android

Back in 2018 Atelier Online launched on mobile devices in Japan to mark the 20th anniversary of the Atelier series. Fans had been wondering if the game would make its way to other parts of the world, and just last month publisher Boltrend Games confirmed that they would indeed be bringing Atelier Online to folks outside of Japan. That announcement also marked a pre-registration campaign that has been highly successful, with a release date pegged as July 8th. A quick glance at the calendar confirms that today is in fact July 8th. Atelier Online is here!

As mentioned Atelier Online was created as a 20th anniversary celebration, and as such it blends many elements and characters from previous games into one cohesive experience, with a brand new story to tie it all together. The game takes place on the gorgeous Bressile Island and centers around the Royal Academy of Sciences, commonly referred to as simply the Academy, and you’ll join series favorites like Rorona and Marie as you embark on an adventure that Atelier fans are sure to love.

Of course it wouldn’t be an Atelier game without alchemy, and Atelier Online has you well and truly covered with a robust alchemy system that sees you synthesizing ingredients into all manner of different items, weapons, and gear. As you explore the island of Bressisle you’ll gather up various resources which you can then use to create all sorts of awesome things.

All that crafting and alchemizing isn’t for nothing though, as in Atelier Online you’ll also be collecting a huge roster of characters, all of whom can be customized and outfitted with different kinds of gear that you can make and improve. There are more than 1000 items to synthesize through alchemy and more than 700 outfits to customize your team of characters.

Finally, Atelier Online also features turn-based combat that has frequently been a hallmark of the series, and this also offers another way for you to use all of those cool items you’ve been creating. While there’s plenty here for players to go at alone, Atelier Online also allows you to play online with others, as its name implies, and even invite up to 3 other friends in to explore Bressisle Island cooperatively.

Atelier Online has been a huge success for the past few years ever since its original launch in Japan, and now finally players in the West and elsewhere can join in on the fun as well thanks to Boltrend Games. It’s a free to play title so there’s nothing stopping you from giving it a shot for yourself, and whether you’re on iOS or Android you can download and check out Atelier Online right now by visiting this link.

Also be sure to follow the game’s social channels on Facebook, Reddit, and Discord, and you can also check out the game’s official website as well as Boltrend’s website for even more information.
