A few days ago at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games Fest, Innersloth revealed some big things coming to Among Us (Free) on all platforms. Barring details for the “next big update", a roadmap was also revealed for the super popular Among Us. At Microsoft’s showcase at E3 earlier today, Innersloth revealed that the big update is arriving on June 15th (this Tuesday) for all platforms. This update will finally bring controller support to iOS and Android, 15 player lobbies, and a lot more. Beyond this week’s update, Innersloth is planning to add a brand new map, achievements, account linking between platforms, new roles, a new mode, visor cosmetics, and more. Account linking will allow all save data and cosmetics available on your platform of choice. I’m glad more developers are taking cross progression seriously. Watch the new trailer for the update below:
One of the biggest surprises from WWDC this year was Apple taking controllers so seriously. With Among Us bringing support for controllers to mobile, I’m hoping more popular games look into adding support when feasible. Barring 15 player lobbies, a slight graphics update, mobile controller support, new colors including Rose, Gray, Tan, and more, a new kill screen, and horn honking on the airship are also being added this week. If you’ve not gotten it yet, Among Us is available for free on the App Store for iOS here and Google Play for Android here. Check it out on Nintendo Switch here and Steam here. Here’s our forum thread for the game. Among Us is also coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5 platforms this year. Do you play it regularly on mobile or Switch?
