The Next Big ‘Among Us’ Update Will Bring Controller Support on Mobile, 15 Player Support, New Colours, and More

TouchArcade Rating:

At Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games Fest that began earlier today, Innersloth revealed some big things coming to Among Us (Free) on all platforms. This includes what players can expect in the next big update and future ones. Among Us is currently available on iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, and PC with PlayStation and Xbox platforms set to arrive in the future. The next big update to Among Us will add 15 player support with new colours. The colours include Rose, Gray, Tan, and more. Among Us will also get a slight graphics update and finally mobile controller support (!). Details for this update are set to be revealed very soon. This will follow the big Airship update that recently arrived. Read all about it here. Watch the Among Us roadmap reveal from Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games Fest below:

For future updates, the developers revealed that in no particular order, Among Us is set to get a brand new map, achievements, account linking between platforms, new roles, a new mode, visor cosmetics, and more. Account linking will allow all save data and cosmetics available on your platform of choice. I’m glad that cross progression is also planned and hope it arrives alongside the Xbox and PlayStation release so mobile players who own those can bring over data. If you’ve not gotten it yet, Among Us is available for free on the App Store for iOS here and Google Play for Android here. Check it out on Nintendo Switch here and Steam here. Here’s our forum thread for the game. Among Us is also coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5 platforms this year. Do you play it regularly on mobile or Switch?
