Forager ($7.99) for mobile finally hit Android back in December after it released a month prior on iOS. The whole lead up to release from being revealed to port contents getting revealed and release date changes has been quite a ride. Forager on iOS and Android arrived bringing the excellent game to more portable devices following the Nintendo Switch release but the iOS version needed work when it launched. Read my Forager iOS review here. Over the weekend, Humble Games released a new update for Forager on iOS bringing in all updates from version 4.1.3 to 4.1.8 on other platforms to iOS and also to improve the cloud sync. In my testing over the weekend across 4 devices and 2 iCloud accounts, the cloud syncing has finally been fixed for me. Watch the Forager iOS trailer below:
For all the update content included in the 4.1.8 and below, read this. The one downside to this update for iPad Pro (2020) is that the game isn’t full screen anymore and plays like a game not optimised for the newer displays. Hopefully this can be fixed soon alongside the performance issues the game still has. Forager is out now on iOS and Android worldwide as a premium release. If you’d like to play it on the mobile, you can buy Forager on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here for $7.99. Make sure to check out our forum thread for more discussion around the port as well. Have you been playing Forager on iOS or any other platform regularly?
