TouchArcade Rating:

Back in 2015, Amplitude Studios brought Dungeon of the Endless to iPad following the 2014 PC release. Read Shaun’s review of it here. Since then, it has been ported to Xbox One and recently arrived on PS4 and Nintendo Switch platforms. The iOS version was still iPad only and it isn’t even available on the App Store today. After a short video teaser on Twitter, Playdigious just announced Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee ($0.99) for not just iOS but also Android. Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee includes the excellent roguelike dungeon defense game and 5 DLC packs. This is a new edition of the game with DLC so it is not free for existing owners of the old iPad version that was published by Amplitude Studios. Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee is published and developed by Playdigious. Watch the announcement trailer for Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee below:

Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee launches on March 16th for iOS and Android worldwide as a premium release. It is priced at $7.99. If you pre-order it on iOS, you can get it at a 30% off discount. Having played the heck out of the original release and thoroughly enjoying the Switch port, this is pretty tempting!

P.S. I think the link to the App Store points to the Indian store. :)

Replied above. Link works in USA.

Super weird. On my Mac the preview showed the Indian Rupee and the URL has /in/, but on my iPad it work as described.

That is weird. I preordered on my iPhone X. Checked my iPad and it was in dollars, too. Are you in Hyrule!?

Mikhail is based in India so generally when he gets links they are from the Indian store. It should however just work like a normal link and redirect you to your local App Store, but it sounds like it didn't work on your Mac. I just tried on my Mac and it takes me to the US link, so maybe just a fluke or maybe you have an extension or something that interfered with it.

So I’m NOT the only fan of the first game!! I’m super excited about this!!!

Tried the link... and preordered! Link is definitely attached to U.S.A. because I’m in Vegas baby!

$5 for the game with 5 DLC’s included! No brainer!

I mean, it's a shame that it's a new app, so presumably existing saves and the like will be lost, and it's surprising that Amplitude don't have the resources to support it themselves with Sega behind them. And I guess the chances the 'cloud saving' means cross saves with the Steam edition are pretty slim. Still, it'll be nice to have it back. It's a perfect iPad game.

Wish they would slow down on the ports and fix the PC version. It's been suffering connectivity issues during online play for months (years?). Endless (hehe) forum posts about it all over the internet but no response from Amplitude. They used to be one of my favorite devs but they appear to be getting a little too big for their own good, and more importantly for the good of long time supporters of their games.
