Following Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone for iOS, Android, and eventually Nintendo Switch, Sting is bringing the PSP game Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean to iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch in 2021 as Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean FHD Edition. The original game was developed by Sting and published by Atlus for PSP in Japan back in 2011. Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean FHD Edition is an enhanced port with new features, balance adjustments, improved visuals, and more. Sting’s Yggdra Union port on iOS and Android from 2019 never saw an English release despite a localisation already existing so I don’t have much hope in Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean FHD Edition getting an English release sadly. Watch the opening for the original PSP game below:
Sting will reveal more details for Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean FHD Edition next month when the official website goes live. Unlike Yggdra Union, Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean FHD Edition has been announced to release on mobile and Nintendo Switch with seemingly no delayed Nintendo Switch release. Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean FHD Edition features turn-based movement with the card system and the real time union combat from Yggdra Union. There are new cards and classes in Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean as well compared to earlier games. It is going to be interesting to see how Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean FHD Edition looks across modern mobile devices when it releases in 2021 in Japan. Hopefully someone licenses it out to at least have it localised on Nintendo Switch since many older game ports seem to do well on the platform. Have you played Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean‘s original Japanese PSP release or Yggdra Union?
