Puzzle Adventure Game htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary from NIS Gets a Surprise Release on iOS and Android

TouchArcade Rating:

Just like Disgaea 1 Complete, htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary ($15.99) from NIS and NIS America just got a surprise release on the App Store and Google Play. htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary is a puzzle adventure game that originally released in Japan on PS Vita in 2014. It was released on PS Vita in North America a year later and was then ported to PC via Steam in 2016. The puzzle adventure game has now made the jump to mobile. Check out the console version website here. The game has launched as a part of NIS’ Game Variety brand. Watch the iOS and Android trailer for htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary below:

htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary is set in the depths of a maze-like ruin full of machinery and dead bodies. You control a young girl, Mion, and two fireflies. Your aim is to solve various puzzles by using both fireflies across traps, enemies, strong monsters, and more. On PS Vita, the game was fully playable on touch so I can see why it was brought to mobile. The timing is surprising. I figured this would hit mobile much sooner than today. If you’ve never played htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary before, it has some difficulty spikes but is otherwise very interesting. I’m definitely going to replay it on iOS. It is now available as a premium release for $15.99 on both iOS and Android. Check it out on the App Store here and Google Play here. Have you played htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary on PC or PS Vita before?
