Developer NoClip released Zombie Night Terror on Steam nearly three years ago now, back in July of 2016, and it certainly delighted PC gamers back then. It flips the script on your traditional zombie apocalypse scenario, as you’re actually playing as the zombies who are hellbent on eradicating humanity, rather than playing as the humans trying to survive. Technically you’re not playing as the zombies so much as directing them to do your bidding for you, and Zombie Night Terror has been described as “Lemmings with zombies" because of the way that all works. Back in January interest was reignited for Zombie Night Terror as it made its way, as dozens of PC indie games before it, over to the Nintendo Switch. It also always seemed like it would be a perfect fit for mobile devices, and thanks to Plug in Digital we are indeed getting Zombie Night Terror on iOS and Android next week on May 21st.
Plug in Digital actually recruited a handful of beta testers in our forums about a month ago to kick the tires of the forthcoming mobile version of Zombie Night Terror, and it appears that all went well with that brief beta as they’ve announced the official release date today. It’s also in Early Access over on the Google Play Store for Android devices, so if you were really impatient you could actually just go buy it over there right now. Based on that store’s listing it looks like Zombie Night Terror for iOS and Android will be a fully premium game clocking in at the $7.99 price point. I’ve heard tons of great things about the desktop version so I’m really anxious to get my hands on the mobile port when it arrives next week.
