Rome: Total War – Barbarian Invasion ($4.99) arrived on iPad a while ago and just like many Feral Interactive releases, an iPhone version was set to arrive eventually. Today, we have a confirmed release date for the iPhone version that is included for free if you own the iPad game as a universal app. Feral has also detailed what iPhone you need to play it. ROME: Total War – Barbarian Invasion on iPhone will bring the full experience with an interface built for smaller screens. It uses Apple’s Metal API as well. To play ROME: Total War – Barbarian Invasion on iPhone, you need an iPhone 5S, iPhone 6/6 Plus, iPhone 6S/6S Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7/7 Plus, iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS/XS Max, or an iPhone XR. On the iPod Touch side of things, it will support the iPod Touch (6th Generation). All devices need 4GB of free space and iOS 12 to install the game.
These last few months have been great for fans of PC centric experiences on iOS with great ports like Tropico and the big sale for Civilization VI and all its DLC.
