Work originally began on Serious Scramblers in the spring of 2017, and for the next year the developer chinykian slowly added in new features and made progress on the game. Then this past spring it entered open beta on Android as development continued. Now here we are and Serious Scramblers is all finished up and has a release date of November 14th, which is next week. In case you hadn’t seen the game’s progress updates in our forums previously, Serious Scramblers is a “fall down" type of platformer where you’re running down platforms that are constantly moving upwards, hoping to take out enemies and avoid hazards so as not to get caught on a platform and smushed into the spikes at the top of the screen.
Of course, it’s not like there’s anything great waiting for you at the bottom, as Serious Scramblers will feature a fight with a massive boss once you make it all the way down. But, that’s what we’re here for, right? Fighting the good fight against evil. I absolutely love the faux retro stylings of Serious Scramblers with its scanline effect and great pixel art. There’s also a big cast of characters for you to unlock and collect that each feature unique abilities when playing. It all sounds right up my alley, and if you are feeling the same then you’ll definitely want to check out Serious Scramblers when it hits next week. Or if you’re the overly-anxious type, then you can pre-order the game on the App Store right now.
