Pokémon GO(Free) is about to get Pokémon originally discoverd in the Sinnoh region in the near future. To prepare for this, Niantic and The Pokémon Company have announced a series of game balance changes. These will be arriving in the next few weeks. The changes are based on Trainer feedback. Going forward, there are certain things to keep in mind for appearance rates of Pokémon around you. Over the last year or so, it has been great seeing the game pickup speed and mindshare.

Weather will have a reduced effect on the rate at which Pokémon appear. A larger variety of Pokémon species will appear over time at different rates in a given area. Niantic will ensure that parks and nature reserves have more varied species of Pokémon going forward. In game battle mechanics will also be changed coinciding with the appearance rate changes. CP values are going to be adjusted for game balance and HP values will be adjusted to ensure the gap between high and low HP Pokémon is reduced. Pokémon Defense and Stamina values will be retroactively rebalanced to make for a better experience. More changes are also planned to ensure for a more balanced experience for everyone.
