Telltale Games brought us some fantastic adventure games like Tales from the Borderlands and The Walking Dead. Around two weeks ago, they sadly laid off most of the staff and only a “skeleton crew" of about 25 people remained to work on remaining projects for partners. While most of the company was laid off, the small group seemed to be the only workforce Telltale would have internally. This changed last night when more employees sadly were laid off going by Tweets. Here’s a post from the co-founder of Telltale who left a year ago:
Okay, what I'm hearing from sources I trust is it's a total closure due to bankruptcy.
Skeleton crew is finishing off The Walking Dead, and then the whole thing will shut.

A USGamer report spoke about the situation with some of their upcoming projects and the cancellations of said projects but there was some news that the final season for The Walking Dead which never showed up on mobile would be completed. This was eventually pulled from all storefronts.
Heeeeyyyy remember how there was going to be a skeleton crew staying on for a while and I was part of it? Nah, jk, we all just got laid off, too.

This is still beyond horrible news. I hope everyone affected either found or will find something soon. Tales from the Borderlands is definitely one of the best adventure games I’ve played.
