Semidome, creators of incredibly stylish games like Last Voyage ($3.99), Nightgate ($3.99), and Dark Wave ($1.99), have a new game in the works that looks a bit different than their usual fare. It’s called Smash Puck and the developers describe it as “the game you get when you combine pool, pinball, air hockey, minigolf, curling and add magnets, portals, moving platforms, force fields and more!" In their attempt to “unify various ball games" Semidome has come up with a game where your goal is to sink balls into holes by launching a puck into them, and then using the various types of objects in a level to help you in your journey to sink those balls. It’s probably best explained by checking out the trailer.
Smash Puck will come equipped with 120 increasingly challenging levels spread across 10 different worlds, and it’ll be fully Universal for iPhone and iPad as well as the Apple TV with special attention paid to it being fully playable using just the Siri Remote. It’ll be $1.99 with no ads or in-app purchases. Based on the strength of their previous releases, I’m pretty excited to check out Smash Puck. While it’s a bit more “gamey" and less of a trippy audio visual adventure like their other games, it still retains a killer soundtrack and some crazy abstract art elements. It just looks cool, you know? Smash Puck is slated to launch in 2018 and in fact will most likely be arriving within the next month or so.
