Jam City’s upcoming Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery game has a release date, and voice acting talent. The game will release on Wednesday, April 25th, and voice actors from the movies will appear in the game, including Dame Maggie Smith, who played Professor McGonagall in the movies. Michael Gambon, who played Professor Dumbledore in most of the Harry Potter movies, will reprise his role, along with:
- Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick)
- Sally Mortemore (Madam Irma Pince)
- Gemma Jones (Madam Pomfrey)
- Zoe Wanamaker (Madam Hooch)
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will let players create their own character and go through their own Hogwarts education. There is a whole narrative arc that the player can go through, with relationships that can be altered between other players, and ultimately have a dramatic impact on their experience at the school. Plus, many of the professors from the stories will appear in the game, and you can interact and have classes with them.
Harry Potter remains extremely relevant to a cultural degree, with the books and movies being extremely popular, and characters like Voldemort are often used as stand-ins for the idea of ultimate evil. Will he make an appearance in the game? Will you be able to understand a lot more references to Harry Potter if you play this game? We’ll find out when Jam City’s Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery releases on April 25th.
