Good news, Hearthstone (Free) Arena players. Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, the nine Knights of the Frozen Throne Death Knight Hero cards will be leaving the Arena draft pool. The developers decided to go ahead and remove the Death Knight cards because while they are exciting card to play, they offer permanent upgrades that are hard to combat in a format where players have limited answers to such upgrades. So, they decided to remove them all together. This move comes as a bit of a surprise because over the last few weeks, the developers had stated that Death Knight cards were not much stronger than other powerful cards and weren’t going to remove them from the Arena at this time. It looks like the many voices advocating for the removal won the day. Keep in mind that if you have Death Knight cards in your draft pool, you’ll still get to play them until your run is done.
On an unrelated but important note, if you are one of those who attended BlizzCon in person or through the Virtual Ticket, you have a Golden Marin the Fox Legendary waiting for you, and even though this is a Legendary from the upcoming Kobolds & Catacombs set, you can start using it right away. What do you think about the Death Knight card move? Yay or nay?
