Let Them Come, a machine gun sequence turned into a game according to the developer, has been in the works for quite some time, but a mobile release is now getting closer. We first wrote about the game back in 2015, and while it was supposed to come out in 2016, it got delayed because the developer wanted to release it on PC first. Now that the game has released on Steam, Let Them Come is on its way to Android and iOS. Let Them Come was inspired by those movies where the protagonist is stuck behind a machine gun, trying to defend himself from hordes of nightmarish creatures coming his way. It’s like a scene from a movie like Alien.
The game is more than just shooting blindly at masses of enemies; Let Them Come requires you to adjust to the enemies’ cunning mechanics and customize your weapons to better suit your purpose. Add to that the ability to collect mixtapes that change the game’s soundtrack and dynamic lighting, where tracer bullets and explosions light up darker levels, and you’ve got a great arcade game.
