Reigns ($2.99) is a fantastic game that manages to squeeze the running of a whole kingdom into a Tinder-like swipe left/right mechanic, and the upcoming Swipe Manager: Soccer is looking to use that mechanic to bring running a soccer club to life. As you can see from the trailer below, you’ll have to manage your club by swiping left or right in a choose-your-own-adventure style. Every decision you make affects the fans, the team, the board, and the press, and—as is the case with real clubs—keeping all of them happy is the key to success. At the same time, you won’t be able to keep all of them happy since a decision that pleases the press might disappoint the board, and one that pleases a player might really let the fans down.

The game will let you play through 16-seasons worth of story content and interact with over 80 characters. I’m curious to see how the long game plays out in Swipe Manager and whether getting sacked will have you starting from the beginning or not. The game is coming out August 24th and will be a premium app.
