The Sun, a post-apocalyptic role-playing game, examines a future earth under a much hotter, far more radioactive sun. Governments tried and failed at world distribution but got bogged down in the usual issues of action, and started to do too little too late anyway. As food and water became more scarce the old society broke down and chaos and hunger reigned. New societies and new rules took hold and it was into this world the Crow was born. A first-person shooter, The Sun feels a lot like the Fallout franchise, and the graphics look pretty good.
The game has been in development for a while and has amassed something of a following in our forums. A spokesperson for the developer has been active providing updates and answering some questions and it sounds like we can expect a release at the end of August, somewhere between the 22nd and 26th. Even better, The Sun will be premium, support multiplayer, and will cost just a buck or two. There’s a ton more info and bunch of videos and screen shots in the forums, so drop by and check those out.
