If you enjoy realistic tactical RPG Demon’s Rise 2 ($7.99) but fifteen character options wasn’t quite fulfilling enough, good news, there’s another one coming. The Cataphract  hails from the Northern Steppes and is heavily armored and armed with a wicked curved sword and composite bow. Katja Thomas will soon be ready to join the fight and will be part of an upcoming update.

Other changes will include a new AI navigation system that will more smoothly move characters around obstacles and each other and to their final destination as well as updated graphics and lighting to add even more realism to the game. The touch controls are also getting an overhaul and zooming, rotating, and otherwise changing your view of the battle will become even easier. Additionally, the first few levels of the game are being tweaked to be a bit more forgiving for newer players. The original Demon’s Rise ($7.99) game will get these same changes, with the exception of the new character, it already has thirty from which to choose.

Wave Light Games, the developer of both games, is hard at work on these updates and hopes to submit to Apple this week or next.
