Supercell’s Clash Royale (Free) managed to give us a fun mix of a CCG and a MOBA-like game, so, unsurprisingly, developers are starting to follow in those footsteps. Star Wars: Force Arena (Free) has borrowed many ingredients from that recipe as will the upcoming Smite Rivals, and now another game called Spellsouls: Duel of Legends is joining this party. As you can see from the trailer below, the perspective is much more MOBA-like than that of Clash Royale, and instead of a Tower, you have a spellcaster.
However, Spellsouls has even bigger differences to the Clash Royale formula than that. The three spellcasters come each with their own arsenal of spells that they use to affect the battle, and there are three types of minions that march directly to the other side of the battlefield. As you can see, Spellsouls has more in common with traditional MOBAs than Clash Royale. The game is currently in soft launch in a number of countries, so use our soft-launch guide to check it out.
