Last year Nitrome released a very silly and clever puzzler called Silly Sausage in Meat Land (Free) where your goal was to stretch a freakishly flexible dog from point to point all while strategically avoiding various types of hazards on your way to each checkpoint. It was a lot of fun, and we really enjoyed Silly Sausage in Meat Land in our review. Well, the stretchy dog shenanigans were far from over as in September Nitrome announced a sequel, and as of this morning Silly Sausage: Doggy Dessert (Free) is now available. Expect more crazy puzzling as in the first game, but with a truckload more sugary sweets. That’s desserts, not deserts, for those keeping score at home.
If you enjoyed the first Silly Sausage game then I can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t want to check out this new sequel. Like the original, Doggy Dessert is free to play and you have the option of enabling checkpoints throughout the game by either watching an opt-in ad or paying some in-game currency. Or you can pay a one-time $3.99 IAP to enable all checkpoints for free. It’s a pretty friendly system and means that there’s no reason not to check out Silly Sausage: Doggy Dessert for free and then drop by the forum thread to leave your thoughts about it.
