Google Announces Daydream View VR Headset Release Date, Price, and Launch Titles

Google’s been working on Daydream, their new virtual reality system, and the first headset, the Daydream View, but when the public could get their hands on them has been unknown until today. Google has now announced that November 10th is when you can get your hands on Daydream View, which will be compatible with multiple phones, but the Google Pixel is the first phone that’s compatible with it. The Pixel is getting some great reviews, and Android gaming’s pretty good! And considering that it’s now getting an advance in mobile VR, that’s just another notch in Android’s corner. And competing with the Gear VR, the Daydream View will cost only $79, and be available on November 10th. Several Daydream games are also set to launch on the 10th. There’s the aforementioned Danger Goat. Hunters Gate from Climax Studios promises to be a fast-paced shooter designed for VR:

Resolution Games is debuting Wonderglade, where you’ll play various carnival games in a fantastical theme park. CCP Games is releasing Gunjack 2: End of Shift, a space shooter set in the Eve Online universe. Finally, VR versions of Mekorama (Free), Need for Speed: No Limits (Free), and Home Run Derby (Free) will hit on the 10th as well. Doing a VR home run derby sounds like fun to me.
