I have often wondered why Mojang hadn’t made Minecraft Pocket Edition ($6.99) available on Apple TV. The game has been out on consoles for very long, so Mojang is definitely not averse to having it played in the living room on the big screen. Well, I don’t have to wonder anymore because yesterday during Apple’s keynote, Tim Cook revealed that by the end of the year Minecraft Pocket Edition will journey to the lands of Apple TV, which is great news to be honest. We don’t know if this new, blossoming relationship will bring anything new to the game, but being able to sit on the couch and mess around my Realms world on my big screen is fun enough for me.
If you’re planning on playing the game on the Apple TV, I suggest you get your hands on a controller because it will be much easier to play that way than trying to use either your iPhone or the Siri remote.
