Hello, gentle listeners. It’s time once again for an episode of the RPG Reload Podcast, arguably the finest retro mobile RPG podcast on the Internet! This month, we’re revisiting a real oldie, the 2010 turn-based strategy RPG The War of Eustrath ($2.99). This one didn’t go over so well with Eric and Andy, so the discussion is perhaps a little more negative than usual. But hey, there’s plenty of other stuff to enjoy this month. We’ve all been playing a number of iOS RPGs, and the reader mailbag was full to the brim this month with excellent questions. Get a comfy chair and a cup of cocoa, friends, because this one ran to just the other side of two hours. Whoops!
In addition to our lovely theme song by Sweet Diss and the Comebacks, we’ve got two musical selections this time around. I wasn’t able to dig up any music from the featured game, so I tossed in two Final Fantasy tunes instead. It’s probably okay, right? On the break, it’s The Magic House from Final Fantasy 6, and at the end, we’ve got The Lunar Whale from Final Fantasy 4. Both songs were composed by Nobuo Uematsu and are available to purchase on iTunes. For those of you playing at home, next month’s Halloween episode will cover Overlive ($2.99), the bizarre zombie survival game from a few years ago. As always, we welcome listener mail about the topic game or anything else, so please send those to [email protected]. On behalf of Eric, Andy, and myself, I hope you all enjoy this month’s episode. Thanks for listening!
