The Pokemon GO (Free) update that brings the awaited Buddy Pokemon feature to the game is now available. If you don’t know what that is, then what it does is that it lets you assign a Pokemon as your buddy that appears besides your profile. As you walk with them, then you’ll earn a candy for them after a certain distance traveled. So not only can you personalize your profile a bit more, but you can also get in-game rewards for having your own buddy like Ash with Pikachu. Except you can have Snorlax, and frankly, I related more with Snorlax than Pikachu.

This update also brings forth Pokemon GO Plus support, so when the accessory launches on the 16th, you’ll be able to use it right away. Oh, and there’s minor text fixes, the most important update feature of them all.
