A really cool game got posted to our forums this morning, it’s called Fury Roads Survivor (Free) and it’s like if you took police chases from Grand Theft Auto games, but had them all take place inside a wasteland that’s obviously nodding pretty heavily towards Mad Max movies with the familiar verby noun monetization scheme of random unlocks to collect.

The things you’re unlocking include both new cars to drive as well as new weapons to equip your vehicles with. Cars are a variety of actual cars, vans, truck looking things, and even a few that look pretty close to Mad Max war rigs. As far as weapons are concerned, you start with a basic machine gun but can eventually upgrade to all sorts of different guns and defensive weapons like battering rams. Of course, like other games with verby noun monetization styles, you can just buy all this outright instead of waiting to randomly unlock it.

You can see how it all goes together in the above trailer, and it’s really pretty fun to drive around through the wasteland jumping off massive jumps and seeing how long you can survive. My only concern is the Mad Max stuff is almost a little too on the nose, but, eh, whatever.
