Ubisoft’s Collectable Card Game ‘Rabbids Heroes’ Soft Launched in Canada

TouchArcade Rating:

This is really happening; yesterday Ubisoft dropped us a note about their upcoming Rabbids game, it’s a CCG based on the crazy world of Raddid Rabbits and it just soft launched. You lucky Canadians, or Canadian account holders, can head over to the App Store and start downloading Rabbids Heroes for free. The typical Rabbids fantasy graphic style is appealing and after the first impressions the gameplay seems solid and fun.

The slight resemblance to any other CCG resides mainly in the card design as the gameplay does look quite unique. After selecting a hero you will be battling either in PVE or PVP mode in a 2-dimensonal arena. Over 200 cards will be available to build your deck of 20 cards along with weapons and items to equip your hero, figthing for his right to return to the moon because we all know thats where they come from.

Movement plays a strong role on the board and you will need to get in close to use certain cards. No news on a release date outside of Canada but you can always follow our guide to start downloading soft launched games right now.

Haha oh sonic team. Way too much loading time and other boring junk in a game about speed platforming.

Oh wow, the loading times, if I remember anything else about that game (and there's a lot i'm sure) it's how godawful those were and i'm sure they never fixed their server capacity issues.

    2. curtisrshideler

Oh that F2P Sonic. Never downloaded it because there are so many premium Sonic games that don't have loading times or IAP.

There was a decent game in this app, but it was buried in so much unnecessary, irritating twaddle that took an age to get to it. I got the impression the developers wanted it to fail.

And another one gone and another one gone... another one bites the dust.

It can be modded to work offline, it's there, but there's a lot of traps that have to be broken. There are many existing cache file copies that can be used to build it, just have to have to disable Game Center connections, and get through the Dreamcast&Unity asset security. It uses both rendering engines for some weird reason - ever wonder why the audio is horrible? Dreamcast audio.

    6. Feathers

Decent enough gameplay, but utterly ruined by all the free-to-play crap rammed on top of it.

      Not going to miss it.

Well it did manage to last longer than Bioshock...

If only the Amazon Underground version was an actually free, we could get a lot of Red Rings for free.

Unbelievable. I just went to play it now and I got the notification.

      Oh well.

To be expected for a 'For Japan Morons Only' style of gacha shitscam game designed to money grab. A well deserved end. This sort of really-should-be-illegal cash grab scam of a business model can burn in every Hell there is to burn in and it still wouldn't be enough burning.

This sort of shitscam cash grab garbage can stay in Japan. I still don't know how morons over there even remotely defend this shit, but it has no place existing outside of its home country.

If they simply stripped the scam mechanic and made it a PROPER premium OFFLINE game and sold it as such, it would probably have done better.

Ughh, just 24 hrs and 31 minutes left and it is gone, such a shame for such a good mobile game to be shut down...Why can't they make it offline after the shutdown? :( Also i don't get the hate for this game, it maybe isn't the best, but its a mobile game, and for a mobile game it is great...gonna miss it.
