I know that this week’s Hearthstone (Free) Tavern Brawl is possibly the last thing on players’ minds because of the expansion release date announcement and the upcoming nerfs, but it’s still a fun one and still a good way to get some gold to use for expansion packs. So, this week we are getting a new Brawl called Idols of Azeroth, and as you can guess from the title, this one’s all Raven Idols. You pick a class and then you get a deck full of Raven Idols, which is a recipe for controlled RNG. If you don’t remember what the card does, Raven Idol costs 1 mana and lets you discover either a minion or a spell, giving you plenty of flexibility.

You have to keep in mind, though, that Raven Idol will only draw your own class cards and neutral cards, so your class decision will define what cards you’ll see when you play this Brawl. Mage works well in this one since you get to play a spell pretty much every turn. So, assuming you get a few good minions early on, you should be buffing them quite a bit. Rogue works well too since Raven Idol triggers all the combos. Overall, this Brawl is fun – though quite slow – as it combines luck and skill. Do you like this one, or is it not your thing?
