Nintendo Accounts Now Live in Japan

When Nintendo announced its first mobile projects last month, along with Miitomo was the announcement that Nintendo Account, a unified account system for Nintendo games across their systems and mobile, was in the works. And in Japan, Nintendo Account has just launched. Either by signing up with email or social network connections, people can spend money on the eShop away from their computer, accumulate My Nintendo reward points, and create cloud saves for games. And a special promotion for Japanese users will give users 100 yen back for every 1000 yen they spend.

Nintendo Point Program

While there’s no word of when Nintendo Account or My Nintendo will hit the US, we at least know that people are getting access to the service now. And Miitomo might not be too far behind the unveiling of Nintendo Accounts. Nintendo’s mobile moves have been all rumors and plans so far, but we are closer to getting actual Nintendo games on mobile beyond the Pokemon games that have released.
