Telltale Shares News About ‘The Walking Dead: Michonne’ and More

Job J Stauffer, Head of Creative Communications for Telltale Games, populated his twitter feed today with hints on the release dates of various Telltale properties. First and foremost, he talked about the upcoming mini-series The Walking Dead: Michonne, based on the TV show’s resident ninja. Apparently, he has played it today and from his comments, it looks like it should sneak up on us soon just like Michonne does on those unfortunate zombies (I mean, it’s pretty unfair for them since they are unarmed and all). He didn’t give any updates on The Walking Dead: Season 3 release date other than to say that at the earliest, it will be after the Michonne series concludes. So, it’s a bit of a bad-news good-news situation; if you like Michonne’s character, she should be slashing your way soon, if you don’t, you’ll have to wait a bit for Season 3.

Stauffer continued spilling the beans and stated that Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 3 is coming out this month, which was expected if I’m honest. Still, Telltale these last few months has had a few issues delivering episodes on the dates promised, so I’m hoping we will get Episode 3 soon. While I wasn’t terribly excited about Episode 2, I still want to see how the story develops. Finally, Stauffer reminded everyone that the Game of Thrones finale is coming in exactly a week from now, so that should be good news for those who won’t play a Telltale game until all the episodes are out. With Game of Thrones wrapping up and Tales of Borderlands already history, I’m curious to see what Telltale is currently working on outside The Walking Dead universe; maybe it’s time to hear more about those 2017 Marvel games?
