Possible Games, who you may recognize as the developers of TheEndApp (Free) or Adventures of Poco Eco ($3.99), have a new game coming really soon called Tap Company. Ever dream of running a blossoming startup from your lounge chair on the beach? Tap Company can help with that. You’ll create a startup, hire employees, upgrade your office and gamble in a secret underground casino. Wait, secret underground casino? I’m sold!
Tap Company isn’t much more than a clicker game, or “idle game" if you will, but I happen to be kind of fond of clickers and this one looks like it has a lot of personality. It also appears to have a bit more depth than your average clicker, and I’m hoping it might scratch a bit of that Game Dev Story ($4.99) itch, if you know what I mean. Tap Company is currently in the approval queue with Apple, so it shouldn’t be too long before we’re all relaxing on the beach making billions.

This is not a new game, it has been available for free as a browser game on the developers site for a few years now. The physical game is essentially the French equivalent of MTG in terms of popularity where it's played. I've owned the English version of the physical game for a while now. It is really quite well designed and enjoyable. It's basically a tabletop miniatures battle game with RPG elements.
Basically each unit has a points value. You make your team based on a set points limit. Usually this mean teams of 4 to 6 units. Units have elements and abilities that let them combo or combat other units. If a unit dies you lose and the other player gains that units point value. Thus there can be advantages and disadvantages to high cost units. In addition, there is a game "store" where units can purchase abilities, pets, and items throughout a match. I would say an average match lasts about an hour, maybe a bit less. The digital version is obviously quite a bit shorter as it doesn't require the book keeping or set up.
How purchasing works (at least with the browser version) is as follows: the game is free and you start with some basic units, enough to make a team. You gain game tokens as you play which can unlock more units. I believe everything can be unlocked with tokens but it would take a while. In addition, the physical game pieces come with codes that can be redeemed for their digital units.
It was a fun game, I backed the board game on kickstarter however many years ago that was now.
I found it wasn't balanced very well, with certain figures outright better than others. I spent a little time on the browser boards to hear basically the same thing, and only a few specific teams were competitive. I don't know how far it's come or how the rules have changed, but it didn't paint a very enjoyable future at the time.
