Whoa, here’s a surprise update. Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies ($6.99) has gotten its first update in over a year and a half, making the game not only compatible with iOS 9, but iOS 8. Yes, the game has been un-updated for so long that it needed iOS 8 compatibility as well. And it got support for the iPhone 6 & 6 Plus! But this is not to look a gift zombie gift horse in the mouth at all – I applaud any company that’s willing to update their games, especially when so many are willing to let their games wilt instead of upgrading them. I mean, I’d love to see the original Call of Duty Zombies ($4.99) get an update too, but that hasn’t been updated in 4 years or so and I think everyone’s forgotten about that. After all, its last update was for iOS 4 support.
Still, with so many games falling by the wayside as far as updates go, it’s always good to see a game that people spent money upfront on – even if it was just a few dollars – get fixed to last until iOS 10 probably breaks something else with a bunch of games, I’m sure. Thanks to Rod Talbert for tipping us off to this.

I especially like that you included the animated screens, seeing this game in motion really helped me understand what was going on compared to the stills I saw on the store.

This is not my kind of game, I'm old, but I bought it and it's pretty cool! A ton of work went into it, that's obvious. The shooting feels like you really are a gunner of sorts. Good review!

This is retro goodness ahoy! I love the old-school arcade kicks and the neat varied progression system, also the music is very polished. I swear some of the chiptunes coming out in these games are up the old C64 standard, definitely a game to keep permalife on your Idevice (how can this possibly break?!!)
Commenting before I read the review, absolutely terrific game, and you can change the palette of black and red is t your thing haha.
It takes about 10 minutes of playing to unlock another color palette.

This strikes me as the kind of game the guy from action button entertainment would love. Ever since I purchased Ziggurat and started reading his reviews I've been addicted to silly stuff like "crunch" and "passion" in games.
Haven't played it on my phone yet since I don't want to play it muted on the toilet at work but got some games in on steam and I'm very impressed!
