The Next ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s Game’ is the Radically Different ‘FNAF World’

The Five Nights at Freddy’s ($2.99) franchise isn’t ending with Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 ($2.99) at all. Instead, Scott Cawthon is making a brand new game, something way out of left field for the FNAF franchise: FNAF World. Revealed on the Steam page for FNAF4, Cawthon says:

It will not be a horror game, but a role playing game where you create a party using the huge selection of characters from the FNaF games, including the classic, withered, toy, phantom, and nightmare versions. I’ve been working steadily on characters and hope to start on enemy models next week.

This will be a new game, and something planned for iOS along with PC and Android. Cawthon is planning on releasing a free demo of the game eventually. This was planned to be a big Halloween surprise for the franchise, but Cawthon couldn’t have the demo ready by then, and wanted to reveal something to people now. The main FNAF story is done, but this will be something totally new for this mega-popular series.
