NimbleBit’s Capitals (Free) is a really fun word game that we absolutely loved in our review when it was released last month. Since then, it’s been tweaked a bit both in how the free to play system works and, more recently, how you communicate with players. Previously, there wasn’t any way to chat or send text or anything like that in Capitals, which sort of meant the game was the most fun to play with friends who you could then hassle via iMessage or something similar. In the game’s most recent update, a emote system has been added that’s sort of similar to Hearthstone, with way more options to choose from.
Now when you’re playing random weirdos from Game Center, you’ll be able to thank them, gloat, tell them how lucky they are, or even accuse them of cheating… Because what online game would be complete without that?
If you haven’t tried Capitals yet, you really should. It’s a neat spin on a turn-based word game that has players fighting for control of a hex grid. We’ve got a super active thread on our forums if you’re looking for specific people to play with- and inevitably spam new emotes to.
