Mine Materials in ‘CivMiner’, and Send Them Back to ‘CivCrafter’

Oh no. I thought I was free. CivCrafter (Free) was a terrifying affliction that I had a ton of fun with, but I needed to put it down lest I build a massive, massive civilization and be unable to do literally anything else, ever again. I have bills to pay, folks. But Naquatic clearly desires to torment me, as they’ve got another game in the works. It’s a clicker, but not necessarily an idle resource-generating game. It’s called CivMiner, and it’s a spinoff of CivCrafter that actually links back to that game in some interesting ways.

You’ll be playing as a miner in the CivCrafter universe, tapping on blocks to mine them and dig ever deeper. You’ll collect stones and rubies as the primary currencies, the latter found regularly in the mines and used to upgrade your digging equipment, which can also be bought through IAP. This will be free-to-play, but seriously, you find rubies very often. The blocks you mine are of different elements, and if you discover a new one, you can name it and it’ll be credited to you, and everyone else who discovers it will see that you made it.

But what about those stones you mine, what can you use those for? Well, you can actually send those back to CivCrafter, and the gold you find, the premium currency in that game? You can send that too. You’ll link up your friend code from CivCrafter, and can send it over. It’s a really cool cross-game integration. Have a CivCrafter clan? You can import that into CivMiner, where you can collect artifacts to empower your clan, and fight for oil, in order to gain special bonuses.

CivCrafter was infinitely more complex than it really ‘had’ to be, and CivMiner is shaping up to be just the same in terms of complexity and things to do beyond just tapping to mine stuff that I haven’t even gotten to see yet. Expect this one sometime in early July.
