Mi-Clos Studio’s Out There ($4.99) was one of my favorite releases of 2014. The brutally difficult, often painfully unfair space adventure game pulled no punches when dishing out unfavorable outcomes in its randomly generated design, but that just made the rewards all the greater when you managed to put together a strong run and beat out the odds by the skin of your teeth. When we learned last summer that Out There would be getting a free “Ω Edition" update I really couldn’t wait. Since that time nearly a year ago now, Out There launched on Steam, and in fact that platform was lucky enough to receive the Ω Edition update ahead of mobile. Well, Mi Clos knows us mobile gamers are dying to get our hands on the Ω Edition, and had this tease to share on Twitter today.
Man, I am excited. Your guess is as good as mine as to what “almost there" exactly means, but I’ll accept any and all forms of teasing the update for mobile as that can only mean it’s getting closer and closer by the day. Once we do have some sort of firm release date for Out There: Ω Edition, we’ll definitely let you know.
