For the uninitiated, Taichi Panda (Free) is a Free to Play RPG from developers- Snail Games. The game has been out on iOS on the US App Store for a month now and the developers have already released a huge update and expansion today.

The game has the distinction of being one of the top grossing games on the App Store in China and the expansion will seek to update the game for its new American audience.

The update brings character avatar customizations, more online multiplayer modes, higher level armor upgrades, as well as some changes to the game’s various single-player and multi-player modes. There is a new auto-play feature, graphics options, more guild activities, and some major updates to the chat feature.

Oh and did I forget to mention the new Fox Mage?! She is the first playable character to deal distance damage. And she is a fox wizard!!   If you haven’t had a chance to check out this game yet, spend a few minutes today blowing stuff up as a magical fox. It’s probably the best thing that will happen to you all day.

As a fan since day one, I will be unavailable to receive comments on Touch Arcade about the stigma surrounding the genre, as I will be knee-deep in some awesome panda update revelry on the newly launched US server.
