Back in January we told you that Crescent Moon Games would be reviving their 2012 platformer Paper Monsters on iOS with the revamped Paper Monsters Recut, which was released on Wii U last fall and proved quite popular. At GDC this week I sat down with Josh from Crescent Moon to take a brief trip through Paper Monsters Recut. Right away you can see that the visuals are much improved with fancier shadows and lighting effects, as well as a cleaner overall look. There’s also a whole new set of space levels to explore as well as a new interactive overworld map and some other surprises which we won’t spoil in the video below.
I really enjoyed Paper Monsters a few years ago, and I’m excited to experience it again with the new Recut version. It’s been long enough and there’s enough new features that I think it will be even more fun the second time around. Paper Monsters Recut will launch as a premium game with no IAP next week on March 12th.
