New ‘Devious Dungeon 2’ Screens Released, Beta Testing Beginning Soon

Late last month Ravenous Games announced a sequel to their excellent roguelike platformer Devious Dungeon ($2.99). The new game will retain certain elements of the original, like randomly generated levels and enemy placements, but flesh the whole experience out with 3 playable character classes, mini-bosses, new traps and hazards and more. Today Ravenous has posted a couple of new screens of Devious Dungeon 2 in our forums, the top one shows the new Mage character while the bottom shows off the Rogue.

As you’d expect, each class plays quite differently from one another. As Ravenous explains, “The Barbarian has damage reduction as his skill, plus heavy weapons. The Rogue is speedy, has double jump and uses ranged / melee weapons. The Mage has wands giving him a bunch of spells / ranged attacks along with levitation on his jumps." I was a huge fan of the first Devious Dungeon, and the sequel sounds like an improvement in every way. Ravenous says they’re gearing up to enter the beta testing phase in the next few weeks, so hopefully it won’t be too long until we can get our hands on Devious Dungeon 2.
