While I know full well about how people feel about King and their games around here, it’s always really rad to see developers actually putting effort into the soundtracks and sound design of their game. It feels like all too often developers just hit up the various royalty free audio sites, and just pay a few bucks for whatever background jingle fits their game best and call it a day. The extreme polar opposite of that is what King is doing:
The soundtrack to the original Candy Crush (Free) still haunts my dreams, and I’m sure it won’t take long for these London Symphony Orchestra tracks to start doing the same. The game has been soft launched for a couple weeks now, as well as being available on Facebook, so with King sending out these kind of video promos it wouldn’t surprise me if Candy Crush Soda Saga goes live worldwide sometime very soon.
What I’m curious to see is whether or not lightning can strike twice for King when it comes to crushing candies. Will Candy Crush Soda Saga see similar levels of unbelievable popularity as the original Candy Crush? Something tells me we won’t have to wait long to find out.
