‘Bioshock’ Gets First Price Drop to $10.99

TouchArcade Rating:

Was the thought of paying $14.99 for Bioshock ($9.99) , one of the best games of the past decade, too much for you? Well, good news, as the game is currently on sale for $10.99. 2K pulled a very similar tactic with XCOM: Enemy Unknown ($9.99) a few weeks after launch, as they dropped that game’s price from $19.99 to $14.99 for about four days, before later dropping it down to $9.99 briefly, until about 10 months later, they made it permanently $9.99. So as such, expect this to be a short-term sale. But if you’ve wanted the game, this isn’t a bad time to jump in.

The game is also a flagship MFi gamepad title, which it does support. With the MOGA Rebel out now, and the Mad Catz CTRLi on the very near horizon, there’s going to be plenty of ways to play this game with physical controls and not just convoluted touchscreen controls. Our Eric Ford found the controls to be “easily playable" in his review, but issues including diminished visuals and long load times hurt the experience. Still, it’s better to play the game than not – and it’s only getting cheaper to do so.
