While it’s been soft launched for quite a while as the developers tweak monetization methods and whatever else they did during the soft launch, Peter Molyneux’s Godus is finally available for the entire world to try out. Godus, as the name blatantly hints, is a god game and the pseudo-sequel to Curiosity – What’s Inside the Cube.
If you don’t remember that, it was a game where you just tapped away at a cube to discover what’s inside. 25 billion taps across 4 million people resulted in Bryan Henderson “reaping the rewards" of said efforts. Here’s the video developer 22cans released explaining what happens to the winner:
So, in Godus, Henderson will be the god, and in charge of the rules of the game. Additionally, he’s getting a cut of the Godus proceeds. If you want to see what all the fuss is about, Godus is now out. Personally, I’m not sure if I want to get involved in another one of Molyneux’s “experiments," but, hey, Godus is free so why not.
