Late last month Eli headed down to sunny Southern California to hook up with skateboarding legend Tony Hawk and check out his new mobile game Tony Hawk’s Shred Session. And, as is pretty typical for a big-time mobile game, as of today Shred Session has soft-launched in the New Zealand App Store. If you’re unfamiliar with Shred Session, it’s sort of like a behind-the-back Temple Run-style runner but with skateboarding tricks mixed in. It actually works really, really well. Check out this hands-on video of The Birdman himself playing Shred Session.
If you’re in New Zealand or have access to a New Zealand App Store account, Tony Hawk’s Shred Session is free to download and try out for yourself. There are already a decent amount of early impressions rolling into our forums, so check that out for more insight or simply to hang out in envy if you can’t get the game while it’s in NZ. As for a worldwide release, it’s set for sometime this summer, and we’ll be sure to give you a head’s up when we find out when that is.
